The temple is situated about 170 kilometres from Shimla and is one of 51 Shakti Peethas. The village is known as the "gateway of Kinnaur" it being near the old Indo-Tibetan Road.[1] Seven kilometers below (17 km by road) Sarahan is the river Satluj.

  • Day : 3 Sarahan to Sangla

    Sarahan is 2744 metres above sea level. Participate in the morning aarti at Bhimkali Temple., Check out of the hotel and depart for Sangla via Karcham. Your journey from here will take you to another spectacular destination in the middle of the Himalayas which is also known as Baspa valley. It is, without doubt, the prettiest valley in Himachal. Arrive at Sangla and check in to the hotel. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at Sangla.

  • Day : 4 Sangla Sightseeing

    After Breakfast Explore the ancient Kamru Fort and Temple which is dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam. Leave for an excursion to Chitkul, the last Village on an old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk through the green orchards and enjoy the serenity as a brilliant stream passes by. As the day ends, return to the hotel in Sangla and a comfortable.

    Kalpa is a small town in the Sutlej river valley, above Recong Peo in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, in the Indian Himalaya. Inhabited by Kinnauri people and known for its apple orchards. Apples are a major cash-crop for the region. The local inhabitants follow a syncretism of Hinduism and Buddhism, and many temples in Kalpa are dedicated to both Hindu and Buddhist gods and goddesses. The average literacy rate of Kalpa is around 83.75%. India's first ever voter Shyam Saran Negi also belongs to Kalpa. Overnight stay at Kalpa.
